Professional Services Fee Inclusions

Repatriation (Urn)

Repatriation Solutions' professional services fee covers the organisation of repatriation of your loved one's cremated remains (ashes) to a nominated international airport in the destination country. This is for families who have already had their loved one cremated and are in possession of both their ashes and an original copy of their legal death certificate. This fee includes:

·       A comprehensive initial conference with an experienced repatriation specialist at your home or any other mutually agreed upon location within the Greater Melbourne area.

·       Liaising with all necessary third party entities such as DHHS, DFAT, airlines, transport agents, foreign consulates, and the receiving agent in the destination country.

·       Arrangement and/or collection of all other documents, authentications, notarisations, permits and translations as required (costs for these items will be added separately).

·       Arrangement of air transport bookings for the ashes (cost of airfreight and associated charges added separately)

·       Protection and packaging of your loved one’s urn.

·       Transportation of the urn to Tullamarine ready for overseas transport.

The cost of items marked "$ At Cost" will be invoiced at the same amount Repatriation Solutions paid for the product or service on your behalf plus any reasonable expense incurred in obtaining the product or service.

  • Professional Services Fee  (UK or NZ) - $880

  • Additional Death Certificates - $65 per copy

    Each urn repatriation requires at least 1 original copy of the official death certificate from BDM Vic 

  • Document Authentication / Apostille - $96 per document

    Usually at least 1 authentication or apostille stamp issued by DFAT is required for every international urn repatriation 

  • Document Translation - $ At Cost (if required)

    Some countries require NAATI certified translations of documentation into their official language

  • Notary Public - $ At Cost (if required)

    Some documents must be notarised prior to authentication at DFAT

  • Consular Fees - $ At Cost (if required)

    Most (not all) Consulates charge a paperwork processing fee

  • Air Freight - $ At Cost
